RECENT CASES:
Acquittal in DUI Trial in Chester County, PA
Defense Attorney Steve Jarmon represented a former Pennsylvania State Police officer who was unjustly arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). The client had taken legally prescribed medicine before going to bed. In the middle of the night, police officers contacted him and asked him to come to the police station to answer questions in a separate investigation. It was clear that he was sound asleep when the police contacted him. Despite the client’s request that the interview take place in the morning, the officers insisted that he drive to the police station immediately. Once at the police station, the officers thought that the client appeared to be a little confused and he admitted that he had taken medication before going to sleep. For acquiescing to the officer’s request to drive to the police station, the client was rewarded with a DUI arrest. After turning down the plea offer from the District Attorney, Attorney Jarmon took the case to trial and argued that his client should be found not guilty based on the lack of evidence and the fundamental unfairness of arresting someone who only drove at the request of the police. After deliberating for ten minutes, a verdict of not guilty was returned on behalf of the client.

Steve Jarmon represented a 17 year old kid who was arrested and charged as an adult for the crime of Murder and Robbery. The allegation from the Commonwealth of PA was that Steve’s client had agreed to commit a robbery with four of his friends and that during the robbery Steve’s client shot and killed the person that they were trying to rob. After a five day trial, Steve was able to convince the jury to return a verdict of NOT GUILTY on all charges.
Acquittal in Robbery Trial in Philadelphia, PA
Steve Jarmon represented a young man in Philadelphia who was charged with a gun point Robbery, the client was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The client was in a van with four other individuals that was pulled over for being suspects in a Robbery. The victim of the Robbery identified Steve’s client and another individual as the perpetrators. Steve argued to the jury that the victim was not credible in his identification and further argued that even if his client was at the scene of the robbery, there was no evidence that he did anything to assist in the robbery. Steve pointed out that being merely present during the commission of a crime does not make one guilty of that crime. After a five day trial, Steve was able to convince the jury to return a verdict of NOT GUILTY on all charges.
Acquittal in Assault Trial in Delaware County, PA
Steve Jarmon represented a young woman from the city of Chester who had been subjected to police brutality in her own home and subsequently charged with assaulting the police. Steve argued that his client was only charged to cover up the fact that the police had overstepped their bounds. After a full day trial, Steve was able to convince the jury to return a verdict of NOT GUILTY on all charges. With the not guilty verdict, Steve’s client was able to sue the police department and recoup damages for her pain and suffering.

ACQUITTAL IN FELONY AGGRAVATED ASSAULT IN CHESTER COUNTY, PA

After a three day trial and a persuasive argument to the jury our client was acquitted of the felony aggravated assault charge and was able to avoid a state prison sentence and the stigma of having a felony on his record for the rest of his life.
