Lamb McErlane Partners Daniel (Dan) Bush & Steve Jarmon presented a virtual CLE for the Chester County Bar Association (CCBA), The Implications of Commonwealth vs. Alexander, “Vehicle Searches Just Got Tougher for Pennsylvania Police”.

In December 2020, Pennsylvania law with regard to roadside searches changed dramatically when the Pennsylvania Supreme Court decided Commonwealth v. Alexander. No longer can the police use the inherent mobility of a vehicle as justification for a warrantless search.  In this  presentation, Dan and Steve discussed the Alexander decision, what lead to it, the immediate impact, and the implications going forward.

Dan is a criminal defense attorney at Lamb McErlane PC and has over twenty years of experience prosecuting and defending individuals charged with a crime. He chairs Lamb McErlane’s criminal litigation department and is a partner in the firm.

Steve is a criminal defense attorney and partner at Lamb McErlane PC. He focuses his practice on criminal and civil matters. He has spent his legal career practicing criminal law in Chester County, PA and the Greater Philadelphia area.
