Rocco P. Imperatrice, III is in Lamb McErlane’s Newtown Square, PA location and is a lifelong Delaware County resident.  He concentrates his practice in commercial litigation (including employment discrimination defense litigation), higher education, real estate and land development, and corporate and business representation.

Rocco served as liaison counsel for all Defendants in the statewide opioid litigation in the Delaware County Court system. Rocco is also General Counsel to Widener University and Widener University School of Law.

Rocco has served in multiple community and legal leadership roles, including, President of the Delaware County Bar Association, Chairman of the Delaware County Industrial Development Authority, and Chairman of the Edgmont Township Board of Supervisors.

He also serves as General Counsel to the Foundation for Delaware County, the largest non-profit charitable grant making organization in the County; and, as pro-bono General Counsel to the Riverfront Alliance of Delaware County, a non-profit dedicated to the restoration and improvement of the Delaware Riverfront communities, including the City of Chester.

Rocco was an adjunct Professor of Law at the Delaware Law School of Widener University for five years.  During law school, he was Research Editor for the Widener University School of Law Review, the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law.

  • Secured dismissal of a federal class action suit seeking COVID-19 alleged damages consisting of a portion of tuition and fees of all members of the class against a local University.

Lamb McErlane partner Rocco P. Imperatrice, III is general counsel for The Foundation for Delaware County. The Foundation has sued Prospect over the closure of Delaware County Memorial, alleging that it violated the 2016 purchase agreement. The Foundation is the legal successor to the nonprofit that sold the hospitals.  Imperatrice was quoted in a recent Philadelphia Inquirer article.
