Lamb McErlane PC attorneys Maureen McBride and Andrew Stafford obtained a favorable decision in Berk v. Rothman Institute Orthopedic Foundation et al.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2025, the Third Circuit declined to reinstate a case against the Rothman Institute Orthopedic Foundation for not giving the plaintiff an affidavit of merit to support medical malpractice claims against different healthcare providers. The panel ruled that the Institute did not interfere with the plaintiff’s ability to seek legal recourse.

McBride and Stafford represent the Rothman Institute.

McBride is co-chair of the firm’s Appellate Department and a member of Lamb McErlane’s Litigation Department and Executive Committee. She concentrates her practice on appellate law and commercial litigation in state and federal courts.

Stafford concentrates his practice on litigation with an emphasis on complex commercial litigation and appellate law.
