Joel L. Frank, Managing Partner and Executive Committee Chairman of Lamb McErlane PC, a full service regional law firm headquartered in West Chester, PA, has been appointed to serve on the merit selection panel for the reappointment of U.S. magistrate judges.

A U.S. magistrate judge is a judicial officer of the district court and is appointed by majority vote of the active district judges of the court. A U.S. magistrate judge is appointed based upon the recommendations of a citizen’s merit screening committee.

At Lamb McErlane Mr. Frank concentrates his practice in commercial and civil litigation in state and federal courts. He is rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell and since 2005 annually has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for general litigation. A Super Lawyer is an annual recognition obtained by only 5% of Pennsylvania’s attorneys. Mr. Frank has also regularly been named a Top Lawyer in Main Line Today magazine. He received his JD from Widener University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware.

Joel is Chairman of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission which regulates boxing, mixed martial arts, kickboxing and professional wrestling in the Commonwealth. He is also serving a two year term as the Chairman of the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry. He continues to serve on the Board of Directors for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to fighting and finding a cure for pediatric cancer) and as the long-time Solicitor for the Republican Committee of Chester County and the Chester County Police Chiefs Association.
