Lamb McErlane Partner Vince Pompo Speaks about Pipelines, Communities and Safety
On Thursday, March 20, 2014 Vince Pompo, a partner at Lamb McErlane spoke at the West Pikeland township building to discuss Pipelines, Communities and Safety in Chester County, Pennsylvania- Land Use Issues and Act 13. The meeting was part of a program funded by a Technical Assistance Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Mr. Pompo discussed the pipelines that reside in Chester County and how they affect our communities. He also discussed Act 13 of 2012, which enacted stronger environmental standards, a move towards energy independence in the state of Pennsylvania as alternative gas development continues, protection of the water supplies and uniform and consistent statewide environmental standards.
The West Pikeland Technical Assistance Grant Project Workshop “Land Planning and Pipelines” speakers also included:
- John M. Gaadt, AICP, who facilitated the workshop and discussed “Pipelines and the Role of Municipalities in Zoning and Land Planning”
- Vince Pompo, Esq., who discussed “Pipelines, Communities and Safety – Land Use Issues and Act 13”
- Ronald T. Bailey, Executive Director, Chester County Planning Commission, who discussed the County’s proposed website “Pipeline Information Center (PIC)”
