Jonathan F. Ball

Jonathan F. Ball is Of Counsel and an experienced Civil Appellate and Trial Litigator at Lamb McErlane.

Jon has represented and counseled clients in a wide variety of litigation and other matters for more than 25 years. He has briefed and argued more than 80 appeals in state and federal courts across the country, as well as numerous dispositive and critical motions at the trial level. Jon has handled many novel, complex, and high-stakes matters. In addition, he has rendered pro bono services in election matters and appellate court review of the denial of asylum, withholding of removal, and protection under the United Nations Convention Against Torture.

Prior to joining Lamb McErlane, Jon practiced at a small sophisticated commercial litigation boutique law firm in Philadelphia, a large firm’s Philadelphia office, a boutique law firm servicing the New York/New Jersey region, and as vice president and assistant general counsel at a leading multinational investment bank and financial services company. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard B. Klein of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.

Outside of the practice of law, Jon has worked extensively as a freelance drummer and percussionist, including a national tour of a Broadway musical as well as shows and concerts at the Kimmel Center and Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia, Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, 54 Below and Iridium in New York City, and several Atlantic City casinos.

EDUCATION:
Jon earned his Juris Doctor (JD)  from Temple University  School of Law  and his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. He will be located at the firm’s Philadelphia location.
