Join Lamb McErlane in Supporting the Chester County Food Bank

Lamb McErlane is hosting a summer food drive to help support the vision of the Chester County Food Bank of a food-secure Chester County.  The drive will be held from August 1st through August 14th. You may also make a monetary donation here.  (monetary donations are tax-deductible.) The firm is also collecting food donations in its West Chester, Newtown Square, Oxford, and Exton offices thru August 14th.

West Chester: 24 E. Market Street, West Chester, PA

Oxford: 208 E. Locust Street, Third Floor, Oxford, PA
Exton: 460 Creamery Way, Suite 109, Exton, PA

Here is a listing of the most needed items:

  • Canned Tuna, Salmon & Chicken
  • Fruit (in juice), canned & individual cups
  • Healthy Snacks for Kids (nut-free trail mix, popcorn, individual peanut butter)
  • Peanut, Almond & Sun Butters
  • Breakfast Cereal / Oatmeal
  • Brown Rice
  • Pasta Sauce / Canned Tomatoes
  • Cooking Oils (Olive & Canola)
  • Herbs & Spices
  • Crackers whole grain
  • Peanut Butter (no high fructose corn syrup, look for the brown lid) 
  • Dried / Canned Fruits in juice
  • Whole grain granola bars / snacks
  • Condiments, Dressings

***low-sodium, low-sugar, no high fructose corn syrup when possible***

Please no glass or expired items!

Consider donating non-food items that are not able to be purchased using SNAP (food stamps).
Among the everyday grocery items, you cannot purchase using SNAP are:

  • manual can openers (of particular need)
  • personal hygiene (e.g. deodorant/toothpaste)
  • feminine hygiene (e.g. tampons/pads)
  • diapers
  • toilet paper
  • paper towels/tissues
  • cleaning supplies
  • paper plates/cups

In 2022 77% of the Food Bank’s funds came from contributions and in-kind contributions (such as a food drive).  While many people think about the issue of food insecurity in our community during the holidays, it is a year-round problem that faces our neighbors.
