Lamb McErlane PC announces James J. ‘Jim’ Merkins and Ashley N. Blackburn have joined its Litigation practice group.

Jim is a partner and experienced litigator, representing clients on a wide variety of commercial litigation, construction law, and general business matters, as well as estate, family law, criminal, and personal injury cases. He was previously a name partner at a Delaware Valley firm. Jim also serves as a Magisterial District Judge in Springfield and Upper Darby Townships, hearing civil and criminal matters since 2014. Jim is admitted to practice in the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the District Court of Delaware and New Jersey.

Ashley is an associate attorney at Lamb McErlane. She concentrates her practice on commercial litigation with a focus on construction law.  Prior to joining Lamb McErlane, Ashley practiced at the same firm as Jim.  Ashley received her undergraduate degree at Flagler College and JD at Widener University Delaware Law School. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
